First Impression Review; Funny Butterfly Toy

We have had this toy laying around the house for a long, long time now. The “Funny Butterfly Toy”, that can be bought on Zooplus. Our friends Stella, Barney and Franzi from Instagram brought it to our notice, so I decided to buy it as well. Months later, Fin has had enough time to play with it, and explore it.. So what’s the verdict?

I hauled this a while back in this post, and it’s been tried on several occasions now. At first, it didn’t interest Fin much; he actually seemed kinda scared by the noise it made. Our dog, however, was quite interested in it when we first got it, as seen in the little clip. When the noise was still present, Fin still didn’t like it, but I managed to get rid of the noise by pushing a little piece of paper between the wire of the butterfly and the little thingamajig it’s attached to. With the noise cancelled out, it got a lot more interesting for him. He played with it occasionally, and I got into the routine of putting the thing on for a while in the morning, while I was getting ready. He also likes playing with it when it’s not turned on, as he can still bat the butterflies around.

So, overall, it’s a pretty neat toy. Not every cat may like it, but honestly, since it’s only €12,99, if you have the money, I would definitely give it a shot. It works on 3 AA batteries to make the little butterfly do it’s dance, and turns on with the touch of a button. It doesn’t take up much space, and if your kitty doesn’t like the little machine itself, there is a very big chance that he or she will like the butterflies themselves, so it won’t be a waste of money. If I would have to choose between this and a feather wand toy for Fin, I would choose the feather wands every time, because he just has a thing for those, but I’m still glad I bought this.

If you want to try it out, you can find it right here! Tell me what you think if you get it, I’d love to hear your opinion!
