It’s been six months since I had Fin neutered, and as expected, he’s definitely changed since, but not in the way most cats do. Most cats become more laid-back after being de-sexed, but Fin has actually become way more active! He has the ‘zoomies’ literally 4 times a day now; he just goes nuts and runs around the house like the little maniac he is.
Happy 1st “Adoptiversary”, Finley Bean!
Time to play catch-up (Again)! Honestly, I know I keep saying this, but I’m really hoping to get back into blogging this time. Fin has been home for exactly a year and a day now, and although the past year has been very tough on our family, I couldn’t be happier to have him here. He’s the best thing to come home to after a long day, and nothing is more comforting than cuddling him, hearing him purr, seeing him be a total goof, and just being around him in general. I was planning to write this post exactly a week ago, so it’d have gone up on the day I met Fin, exactly a year ago, but sadly, life got in the way. My grandma isn’t doing well, and I was too distracted to write. I’ll try to keep things updated, but it’s a little difficult right now, so I hope you’ll understand. My baby boy turned one year old last month, so it’s time for another update! Continue reading
As you might know, Fin had his big boy operation (also known as castration) just over 2 weeks ago. Our breeder recommended I wait until he was about ten months old if I could, because he’d have some more time to grow and develop. I’m glad I waited, but I’m also glad I did it. It’s a very small procedure, but I thought I’d still update you on how it went anyways.
Fin’s 9 month mark was a few weeks ago now, and I know this is a cliché, but jeez louise time really does fly. I’m well aware I started the last update the same way, but it’s the truth. As you might’ve noticed, I’ve taken a 3-4 month break from blogging. It wasn’t planned, but after our dog died, I just lost motivation for a lot of things, and keeping up with school was difficult enough as it was. I’m back now though, and in our absence, Fin hasn’t stopped growing! As mentioned in the previous update post (6 months), I’ll be updating every three months until Fin turns one year old, and then it’ll just be yearly updates on or around his birthday.
