This Monday, the 23rd, marked our first year on Instagram! The day I joined, this was the first picture I posted. It took a bit of scrolling, because we’ve posted over 800 photos since then, but just look at his tiny little face! Only a month old, and now, at 13 months, he has over 10.000 followers. It’s been amazing getting to know so many lovely people on Instagram, and I can honestly say I’ve made some great friends on there, from all over the world.
Guess who is Ragdoll Kitten of the Month over at floppycats.com? That’s right! Our not so little Finley Bean is!
I submitted the article October last year, and was waitlisted just in time for Fin’s birthday month. Floppycats.com is an online community, really, a blog and a YouTube channel combined. It’s one of my all-time favourite cat blogs, and it actually inspired me to start my own blog.
Jenny has been so helpful to me in my journey to getting a cat, with just her videos and the information she puts up on her blog. She’s even personally helped me with some blog decisions, so if you’re reading this, thank you, Jenny! You’re a wonderful person, give all the kitties a cuddle for me 🙂
Floppycats.com takes Ragdoll Kitten of the Month, and Ragdoll of the Week submissions, and often has interviews with people relevant to the Ragdoll community, such as breeders, nutrition specialists, etc. Even if you’re not located in America, the community is very international,
Here’s a little sneak peek:
I have been a cat lover for most of my life really, it all started as cats just being cute, to being fascinated with their behaviour, and eventually deciding I wanted one for myself. I watched a lot of cat videos on YouTube, and shows on animal planet (My Cat From Hell, Cats 101). Since I’m eighteen, and still live with my parents, I’d already decided it’d have to wait until I moved out when I was about 14. Just because I made that decision though, didn’t mean I wasn’t going to research cats and everything about them, and through Cats 101, I decided the Ragdoll would be the perfect breed for me.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear finleybean.com, happy birthday to you!
I’ve mentioned a lot of kitty names in a previous post, but because I’m always finding new names I like, I figured I’d make a post dedicated to names alone. I couldn’t really figure out where to start though, because I do have favourite names, but I have a lot of those, so it couldn’t be just a top-10. Since there are names for males and names for females, I decided to do an alphabet of cute kitty names by gender, inspired by post I saw on a Dutch cat blog; pawsome.nl!
